The Encampment

STUDENTS & STAFF OF NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY

2024

Acrylic and marker on cardboard and poster board

This is a historical commemoration of the events from Northwestern University. For five days in April of 2024, Northwestern students gathered on Deering Meadow and lived in tents throughout the day. The Northwestern students involved in the 2024 encampment protested for the school to divest from Israel as the ongoing genocide continued to massacre innocent Palestinians. During this time, students made signs and posters, showing their unwavering solidarity with Palestine. People, including the police, threatened to take the posters and signs off the fence. They have been ripped, soaked, and dilapidated through weather and time; but though their conditions have dwindled, the spirit and hope these students have for humanity continues to live forever in their hearts.

Make it stand out.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
